Protest: Occupy Tuscon

From the Occupy Tuscon site: http://occupytucson.org/about

“This is a leaderless movement, aiming to engage all parts of the 99% to participate in Direct Democracy. The organizers of this movement are the everyday people participating in a movement with many de-centralized goals, with an over-arching theme of protesting government corruption from corporate money and national income disparity. We use a tool called the “General Assembly” to facilitate open, participatory and horizontal organizing between members of the public. “Working Groups” are smaller meetings open to all with a specific focus or task management, that then reports back to the General Assembly.

We welcome people from all ethnicities, ages, genders, orientations, and beliefs to participate in this movement. Occupy Tucson is currently located at Veinte de Agosto Park at the corner of Broadway and Church Street.”
